Returning cans and bottles for recycling is one way of doing something for the environment in both the long and short term; it helps to make our surroundings more sustainable and beautiful. Recycling bottles and cans yields material and energy savings that in turn mean that emissions into the environment can be reduced. The risk of causing harm to living creatures is reduced. An aluminium can in nature takes around 300 years to break down!
