Sweden’s grocery stores account for around 92% of all deposit returns in the country every year. That’s a huge effort worth celebrating – and that’s exactly what we do with Deposit Store of the Year.
Deposit Store of the Year is a competition that celebrates stores that put a little extra care into their deposit return stations – making it easier and more appealing for people to return more bottles and cans. Three stores are crowned national winners and each get SEK 25,000 to donate to charity. On top of that, 21 county winners get to call themselves Deposit Store of the Year in their county.
