Why can only non-profit sports associations take part in the club concept?

Returpack views the association concept as a form of sponsorship for the non-profit sports club sector. That is why we have chosen to pay compensation for imported cans specifically to non-profit sports clubs. If we were to do the same for all our customers, it would not be possible to operate the deposit system.

Ultimately, the system would not be able to cover its costs, as the process is based on a “deposit in, deposit out” principle.
