Why is the deposit increased now?

In Sweden, we are very good at depositing our beverage packaging and we are just below the target of 90% collection rate.
For many years, we have carried out various information initiatives and campaigns that have contributed to our constant increase in the deposit rate, but it is not enough, and therefore we are now raising the deposit to reach both the national collection targets and the targets in the EU Packaging Regulation.
